What happens?

At the check

The check will assess your risk of developing heart disease, type two diabetes, kidney disease and stroke.  You will be asked some simple questions about family history and medication.  We will record your height, weight, age, sex and ethnicity.  We will also take your blood pressure and do a simple blood test and check your cholesterol level.

After the check

Your results will be discussed and you will be given personal advice on how to lower your risk and maintain a healthy lifestyle.  You may need to have further blood checks, treatment or medication.
