General podiatry services
The podiatrist can give specialist foot care advice and preventative assessment to those patients whose disease problems mean they are put on medication that can compromise general wound healing and the condition of their skin.
This includes such patients, as rheumatoid arthritis, who may also need specialist insoles as preventative care for their feet.
People with general callous and corn problems, can be seen and assessed to determine if the problems can be treated with insoles/orthoses. Also, general and specific foot care advice can be given, tailored to the individual problem.
