Access to services

In order to gain access to the podiatry service, patients will need to see a member of their general practitioner (GP) practice.  They are able to refer to the service on an electronic system known as "Choose and Book".

We provide assessment clinics across the district and patients can choose which clinic location day or time suits them best.  The appointment you receive is subject to national targets and will be within the current 18 week wait and in most cases considerably earlier.

We operate clinics across the Swindon area at the sites listed below:

• Swindon Health Centre, Carfax Street
• Eldene
• Great Western Hospital (for high risk/acute diabetes care only) 
• Highworth
• West Swindon
• Wroughton.
  

Not all these locations provide all services, as some types of care are only assessed and provided in certain locations.
