Estate management 

The estates services are currently provided on behalf of NHS Swindon through a variety of service level agreements primarily through NHS Wiltshire.

NHS Swindon has a number of estates, which provide clinical services, accommodation and office space. These estates are either owned by us or leased to enable services to be provided at appropriate locations.

In addition, NHS Swindon works closely with Swindon Borough Council and shares some estates to improve complementary services to the public and patients.  This partnership is continually being developed to make access to essential services as convenient as possible.

NHS Swindon has currently developed a commissioning, investment and asset management strategy.  This strategy looks at our commissioning intentions and examines what investments we will need to make in our estates to provide improved services.  This document will be reviewed and amended as necessary and used in consideration of estate improvements and rationalisation.  NHS Swindon is committed to the effective management of environmental issues including preventing waste and recycling materials.
